Welcome to Apnayan. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. The service

Apnayan provides AI-assisted academic help, emotional check-ins, an elder companion, visit planning, medication reminders, a journal, memories, games and family sharing. Features may change or be discontinued over time.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. Student accounts used by minors must be set up and supervised by a parent or guardian. You must provide accurate information and not impersonate others.

3. Acceptable use

• Do not misuse the service, attempt to break its security, or disrupt other users.
• Do not post unlawful, harmful, hateful or infringing content in community discussions.
• Do not use the service to provide medical, legal or professional advice to others.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

4. AI content disclaimer

AI responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial or other professional decisions. Always verify important information independently.

5. Not a medical or emergency service

Apnayan is a companionship, learning and organisational tool. It is not a substitute for professional medical or mental-health care. The crisis safety feature only shows helpline information based on keywords; it does not monitor you or contact anyone on your behalf. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create. You grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to operate the features you use (including sending relevant content to our AI and voice providers to return a result), as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Deleting your account

You may delete your account and data at any time from the Account & Data Deletion page.

8. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apnayan is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
